If anyone out there is a fan of the old Super Nintendo game, "Secret of Mana" (or "Seiken Densetsu 2" in Japan), then you will likely understand how this image came to be. Meet Watts the Dwarf Blacksmith, a character you meet early in the story.

Also for you fans of the game, or more specifically, if you enjoyed the soundtrack from the game ... you will likely enjoy this cover album, Spectrum of Mana. (spectrumofmana.com/) It was organized by Nate Horsfall (lightningarts.deviantart.com/), who hired me to join the art team, and create this digital painting. His brother, Kurt (firebornform.deviantart.com/), was also a strong member of the art team on the project.

A huge array of musical artists came together to collaborate and create this massive album to celebrate the game's 20th anniversary. It release September 28, 2013. So please do yourself a favor and check out this project.
